Thanks. I see that they are a public company, however their stock does not trade in the US. I am looking for companies to invest in to capitalize on the mp3 player market. Most companies that make mp3 players or components get much of their revenue from other sources, are too small(such as Cowon), don't seem like enticing investments, or their stocks don't trade in the US. I bought a few shares of Actions Semiconductor, however their SOCs seem to be in the lower end players. Their Series 13 chips got good reviews, however I could not find a list of players that use these.

That's correct, according to Daniel (http://daniel.haxx.se/sansa/v2.html)

All these models now have the AS3525 from Austriamicrosystems (AMS) as their main SoC chip. They (AMS) do not offer the data sheet for this chip publicly.

Sansa Models known to be using the "v2" concept:

* Sansa E200 v2
* Sansa C200 v2
* Sansa M200 (the newer)
* Sansa Clip
* Sansa Fuze

I asked AMS for the AS3525 data sheet, and I got it.
