Several questions on the 816. I have a sony sc-dc173u camcorder that uses the mpeg4 format. I have no problem dragging a video into the video folder on the 816. It sees the file as a gom media file because I am using the gom media player. I click the file and gom opens the file and plays it.
When I unhook the 816 from the computer and look for the file in the video folder it is not there. I know there can be several reasons. I am not using windows media player 11.. I cant , my copy of XP is not genuine. Do I have to use it? is there a replacement? My format is not right, do I have to convert my video to a format that 816 can use? Does the 816 have the correct codec to play these files? Do video files have to be loaded through the media player? Sorry I am a beginner at this and ask for your patience. thanks |

Hi
I have the Sony 818 and I use WINAVI/3GP/MP4/PSP/iPOD Video converter, and it works everytime, just convert to MP4 and then you can drag and drop your video into your sony without using WMP. http://www.winavi.com/en/psp-3gp-mp4...-converter.htm
