Has anyone used their zen v for downloading and playing overdrive library books? It's not on the official list but it's supposed to support wma files. I get an error message when I try to download those files to my player. Any suggestions?

It sounds like they are protected with DRM. I've heard that Overdrive is supposed to be releaseing DRM free audiobooks, but not sure if they have yet. Most likely, you have one that still is.

Hi, Yes, I've played a number of OVerdrive audiobooks on my 2G Zen V (not plus) with no problems. I'm currently using the newer firmware but I believe I was able to play the books with the player when I first got it, almost 2 years ago. Are you using the Overdrive Console to load the books onto your player? If you're not using it, give it a try. The Console is available for download from the Overdrive page on my library, I'm guessing you'll find it on your library's Overdrive page too. If you are using it, can you post about the error message you're getting and maybe someone will know how to resolve the problem with that info.
Good luck! |
