Insignia Pilot will not renew with external memory installed

I have an insignia pilot (NS-8V24) that will not auto renew through Best Buy Digital music (Rhapsody) when the 8 gig SDHC external memory is inserted. As soon as I pop it out, Rhapsody will update the license and I'm good for another month. Anyone else have this problem? I can load and play music just fine on both the internal and external memory.
