seen the thing. looks bril. but why the bloody heck the UK/EU version doesn't have the "Noise cancelling" feature built-in unlike it's asian brother? what's up with that...Sony? once again you are short-changing your euro fans!

Why do you need "noise canceling" when isolation is better?

You can always buy headphones with active noise cancelling

i second that. the fact of the matter is...Sony has once again "betrayed" their Euro fans by rolling out a product in the market that's incomplete. and as as Sony fan that's unfair & madness AFAIC.

This is the price we must pay to be free of ATRAC/SonicStage. Seems like a fair deal to me.

Just about all MP3 desiners are morons. That's the correct answer.

Noise canceling is a feature exclusive to the Japanese market, not the whole Asia. other Asian versions are just the same as European version.

we don't have it either in the us. but those headphones are a bit of a gimmick. they only work with the walkman, so replacing them is probably a pain, and i question their sound quality. the ex series headphones that come with the other versions is probably a better more practical deal. some of the smaller walkmans come with the noise canceling here too though. i think its a waste of time, most of the time those things just introduce noise and dont seal as well as they should and have annoying chunks sticking off them
