Going On Vacation Tomorrow: Please Answer Quickly! (Fuze or View)

Hey,

I'm going on vacation tomorrow (yeah, I know, bad timing) and I need to get a new MP3 player for the trip. What would be the better bet, Fuze or View?

Just a better overall player. I would use it mostly for music, a few video's, and to showcase some of my photography.

+1 Fuze - stable, MUCH better sq. The View is way too buggy and problem-ridden.

I'm liking the Fuze a lot despite some of the pains associated with being a linux user and having to be very careful with tagging my stuff. Had the View, and really wanted to like it because of the size and storage capabilities, but it just had to go back because as others have said, it was buggy and behaved badly.

The Fuze seems very stable, smaller and 16 gigs for such a small thing (that includes 8 gig micro sd) is more than enough for my uses. And the biggest advantage, most importantly is that the sound quality is a lot better IMO.

I would say the Fuze, too for reason above. If you need battery life, the View is better for that.

Fuze is useless for video and photos because of the screen.... SQ is something 90% of users wont hear anyways. 1% will hear it, while 9% will say they heard it because it said so on the internet

Cptn, thanks for reminding me. The View has better video support: H.264(which plays OK in some containers), MPEG4(most containers work), and WMV(video just locks up at times).

For video the View might be more ok-ish than the Fuze - but for photos none of the non-PMP players has a big enough screen to really see any details on photos, IMO. Anything below 320x240 is a bad joke, 480x272 is somewhat decent, 800x480 and above is useful.
