I just a brought a Sony NWZ-A728B, after going through 2 Sansa Views. I would like to know if there is a special place to put downloaded Podcasts without it showing up in the music list. Posted in the wrong forum.

No, they end up as audio files though you can prob create a podcast folder in the music folder and navigate to it in folder view. I've never tried this with mine so please let us know how it goes with this suggestion. The worst that may happen is you have to remove the folder as it may not recognize it on the Sony.

i think u can nest up to 8 directories
i keep podcasts in their own directory, and music in their own as well.
sony should have made an entirely separate folder system for audiobooks/podcasts so they wouldn't mess up shuffles.

Now I need help. Does the A72X/A82X series work with VIDEO PODCASTS? I want to use them but not have to convert (H.264 +AAC audio). Is this possible on the Sony players? In theory (quoting the Cptn) it should, but I need to know before I either get an A729 or a Zune 80 (no conversion needed on the Zune 80 BTW).

if the video podcast is mpeg4 320x240 then sure.
if not, then conversion is the only way. mediacoder works well. jodix if you don't need dual core support or h264+advanced settings.

So, basically, it's NOT Drag&Drop on the Sony players as it will prob take conversion to get it to play ? Thanks - you helped me make a final decision.
