bluetooth question

Hello everybody,

I have the following problem:
I wanted to pair my t10 with my w300i mobile phone to copy some music tracks from the phone to the player. I enabled bt on both devices, and i chose file transfer mode in the bt menu of my t10. The mobile phone then recognized the player and asked if i want to pair the t10 with it, but when i selected yes it asked for a password. What? What kind of password should that be? I typed in some characters and clicked ok but the phone said that the password doesnt match the player's password....but what is the password of the player???? Has anyone had such experience so far? If yes please help me, i really dont have any idea what kind of password the phone asks for...

try using the T10's connect to mobile device menu, it should search and find your phone and prompt you to enter a password... then your phone should prompt you for a password, enter whatever you entered for the T10.. then try the file transfer.

if this doesn't work its because my T10 is downstairs and I don't feel like getting up right now to see exactly how to do it.. but i'll get around to it

Thats right. You have to type 0000

You can type in whatever the hell you want, actually. The only caveat is that they have to be the same on both devices. The password prompt is just to ensure that you're actually trying to pair and it isn't some rogue bluetooth hacker coming to steal your device. Read up:

Well thx 4 the info 0000 does work, but the file transfer doesnt.....i can pair the 2 devices now but neither can i copy files from the phone to the player nor vice versa.....what could be the problem? Both devices tell me copying failed after trying to copy an mp3 file.....strange.....the mp3 is not copyrighted.....the phone must support file transfer via bt because i already copied files from other phones to it.....and since the new firmware the t10 should support it too.....is there someone who already managed to copy files onto his/her t10 via bt? Perhaps he/she could tell me what the problem is.

Oh yea and i forgot to mention that when i try the connect to mobile phone option in the bt menu of the t10 it says 'No device was found' Wtf? bt is enabled on both devices. While in file transfer mode it recognizes the phone only the file tranfer itself does not work.....dammit.

try initiating the connection through your phone and set the T10 to be discoverable like the T10 was a headset.

Thx a lot dude file transfer works at last! U were right the connection must be initiated from the phone. Now i can copy files from and to both devices. Awesome!

Yes, the T10 and P2 both have problems initiating pairing from the mp3 side. Always try connecting from the phone.

Ok, finally after many tries got BT file transfer to work. I had my friend add my T10 to his "trusted devices" then I could go into his phone through the File Transfer mode on the T10. Previously I could not register onto his device from my T10.

Must be initiated from the phone...which suxks.
