Default Battery extenders

I haven't found this information anywhere else on the ZVM forums, so...

Has anyone tried the AA-battery powered battery extenders for the ZVM, and if so, what do they think? Any problems at all? I can see it being handy on a long plane ride, but my fear is that the voltage (and possibly amperage) would be too high-- 4 AAs add up to 6v.

If not, how much life can one expect from four AAs? The manufacturers claim 3-5 cycles; I can't honestly believe that.

Thanks for the help.

I buy AA battery extenders for all of my devices. (some are generic, others are device specific) They have worked great! The one that I have for the ZVM is a generic USB port model... so I have to plug the USB cable into the extender. I'd say that 3-5 cycles is a bit optimistic but within the realm of possibility. I regularly get at least 3 cycles out of a set of batteries.

It ended up being a battery extender instead of a charger.

Thanks guys, but I have terrible hands (you should see my handwriting), so I'm not really interested in trying to build my own extender-- just thinking about buying one.

What about the voltage? ZenChick? Aeroz? What do you guys think? Do I risk frying my Zen with one of these things?

Thanks a lot for the help.

Default Capacity of a AA battery charger extender?

Hi
I just got a ZVM yesterday and love it!!
Would anyone be able to tell me roughly how many
hours video I could get from a charger extender that
uses 4 AA batteries?
Thanks
