Player lagging when viewing playlists

Hey all. Just got my Fuze last night and sadly have run into a problem already. Whenever I view my playlists (m3u; they are in the Music folder) my player slows to a crawl. If there is a song playing in the background, it will actually stop playing sometimes. I doubt this is normal behavior (or at least I hope not). Anyone else had this problem before and know of a solution?

Doubt it will mean much but the playlist that is really bad is about 256 items long. Also, I have no problems moving forward and backwards in the list if I do it from the player screen (main screen when song it playing).

Yep, people try to out as best as they can at times.
