Am considering purchasing a Sansa Clip, and I listen to a lot of podcasts.
Am curious if anyone knows if the clip supports automatic bookmarking of podcasts like the ipod does, so that I can resume a podcast where I last left off from playing it? Thanks so much for your time! Am looking into the Fuze and am curious of the fuze supports automatic bookmarking of podcasts, so that I can return and pick up where I last stopped listening to a podcast at? Thanks so much for your reply. Last edited by advcomp2019; 10-13-2008 at 11:00 PM. |

Yes, the Clip will bookmark podcasts and audiobooks. The audiobooks bookmarking is better then podcast bookmarking. You just need to use the newest firmware.
There was a bookmarking bug before the newest firmware. The newest firmware will bookmark better then the older firmware. Since I do not have have a Fuze, I do not know how good it is. Last edited by advcomp2019; 10-13-2008 at 11:00 PM. |

Excellent, and it will bookmark them automatically? I don't have to tell it to? Just when I return to the podcast or audiobook and hit play it will pick up where I had left off previously? |

Yes, audiobooks will do that. As for podcasts, it will play from the last podcast you played before going back into the menu.

The fuze has autobookmarking for podcasts and audiobooks in the sense that when you go back to the file, it asks if you want to resume or start from the beginning. It doesn't save the filename though, so if you listen to part of a podcast, then some music, then you need to remember the name of the podcast you were listening to, and what album it is in. I wish it had a return to podcast and return to audiobook function that remembers which file you were listening to, and how to get there.
