It's touch!
Aww man. I like to use players in my pocket, so frankly, unless its amazing, I'm gunna have to look elsewhere. I blame this on the success of the D2 . So much for "Warm analog controls".

Yeah, but you can navigate with the spin knob as well as the touch screen.

Hm, seems promising with both touch interface and buttons, I really hope it is fulle operable with just the spinner.
But well, iRiver makes quite a lot of cool players, but I doubt I will return in a while after the very bad quality experience with the second generation Clix. Bought a D2, and frankly, while not quite as smooth, it lasts.

Hey i got the spinn a few dayz ago~~
First of all i would like to say it's GREAT!! You can basically navigate the spinn with just the analog wheel and the back key located on top of the player. The volume keys are hard to press at first but u get used to it and the battery life: the specs say it lasts 25hours but it lasts around 30hrs on volume 15(middle). The touch screen is not like the p2 and touch (static wahteva) so u can use a stylus like me^^ but it doesn't have a hole (u know the hole to tie things onto it eg. phones have it) and yeah im using it and best thing is that u can just drag and drop avi files onto it!!! i have the p2 and the touch but the spinn has the best video quality- u have to see it to believe!! the p2 has the dnse and it has a similar audio quality to the spinn BUT on bluetooth headphones the p2 does not support dnse therefore the spinn, which has the SRSwowHD, owns the p2 on sound quality..!! Well i hope this helped you to know about the spinn a bit I've only used this for a few dayz soo ill post a new thread soon with pics and stuff~ If u have any questions concerning the iriver SPINN (or the yp-p2, ipod touch) please do not hesitate to ask questions about it coz im just a friendly teenager... ...hehe |

the only thing i wanna know about the spinn whether the UI lags or not. all videos on youtube kinda show that it has little bit of lag going on like 15fps or something like that. if its as smooth as ipod touch then f$%k yea

Any news on a 16gb version? Or are they keeping it silent because otherwise everybody will wait for the 16gb version?

I dont see any news with 16GB yet. Moreover, no information about theme contest too. :-/
