~~~~~SOLVED~~~~~~ read last post
hello all, I've recently gotten an E436 and am trying to put vids on it. I've managed to get .mp4's on it (I converted some .avi 's with AnyVideoConvertor and they work great.) I used both Windows explorer drag-n-drop and the Sony Content Transfer drag-n-drop, and both are good with the .mp4's. Now I'm trying to get .wmv's on it and they aren't being accepted by Windows explorer nor Sony Content Transfer. I didn't install WMP 11 from the sony CD since it was already installed on my pc. Any help would be appreciated. TYIA Last edited by nwz; 10-20-2008 at 04:09 PM. Reason: solved |
I just wanted to see if .wmv actually worked..
![]() from sonystyle.ca: Video Frame rate: Up to 30 fps Resolution: Up to QVGA?320 x 240? Format Supported: MPEG 4, M4V, WMV (Windows Media Video 9) Zoom Settings (Auto/Full/Off) Display (On/Off) Continuous Playback(On/Off) is perhaps that specified 'wmv9' the reason since i'm running wmp11?
Just curious, has anyone else tried putting .wmv's on their e436 or other Sony player?
I have several WMV9 movies on my E436 that I installed with WMP11. They all work
fine. I'm using Vista Home Premium. The properties on the WMV9 is: Frame width 1280 Frame height 720 Data rate 8000 kbps Total bitrate 8000 kbps Frame rate 23 frames/sec Audio bitrate 440 kbps I looked at all of the videos and the total bitrate ranges between 6000 and 9000 kbps. Not sure why your having a problem..what are the details of your file properties? |
pm'ed you jupiter
![]() Anyone else know how I could solve this? ![]() edit: ~~SOLVED!~~ I can't drag'n'drop .wmv files with windows explorer or sony content transfer, but I tried manually syncing it with WindowsMPlayer11 and the .wmv's get transferred. YAY ![]() Beforehand I quickly used AnyVideoConvertor to convert them to 320x240 .wmv's so nothing is cut off on the player's screen. Last edited by nwz; 10-20-2008 at 04:14 PM.
