ABI O2 Preview

Yeah i did and some things are improved, but its still sketchy on some playback and responsiveness. Even though i have not been impressed with the o2, i think it may come around- just give it 6 months to a year of firmware updates to be a solid PMP.

To Austria? did you not notice the O2 is white?

I gotcha WalkGood The one enroute from Cowon to dfkt's in Austria would have to be in black. He's very picky

You better wait... initial Cowon firmwares are usually worse than beta. Cowon's hardware department is certainly capable, but their firmware department is worse than a bunch of trained monkeys. With the 3rd, 4th firmware update the player might be almost usable. That's the time when a review seems about right.

Cowon should fire their whole useless, incapable firmware hacks and hire new people... that would speed things up.

BTW, I'm the one doing the O2 review here on ABI. Give it some time, my player should arrive sometimes in the near future.

Cowon's firmware crew shows up every day in a short bus with lick stains on the windows. If you want a bad review listen now, but if you want to see what the player is really like, then wait
to see what the future firmware updates bring

dfkt, since you'll be handling the review, I wanted to get some questions to you about the O2 for you to think about while reviewing it & maybe you can come back here & let me know or get the answers in the review.

1. Is there a size limit imposed on the SDHC card slot?
2. How is Battery Life diminished (if at all) when reading from the SDHC Card?
3. What class (ie: Class 4 or 6) SDHC would be best for Music? For Videos?
4. Would This Be A Good Replacement for a Zen Vision W?

dfkt, I appreciate any & all info you can give me. Enzoten had already given me quite a few options in an earlier post, but I've been holding out for the O2 to see how it fares.
