Well, damn.... that's pretty good. I would still be a little concerned about the sand though. Maybe try taking some compressed air and shooting into the buttons and SD slot to help.

Hey no problem. Try and treat that Zen with a little more finesse. I think it's deserved it now.

Default Recovered after being wet, power/hold button bad!

So I got my Zen 8gb excessively wet and of course it was dead...after freaking out for a while i decided to take it appart and dry it to see if it would come back to life. Once i dried it all up it is now working! the only problem it has now though is that when it's on battery power, the power/hold button does not work! once i plug it in the button works normally. Any ideas??
Thanks in advance
Fred

Just to update guys, two weeks ago I needed to transfer 1GB worth of data from one comp to another, and figured i'll just use my broken Zen as a external drive. So I reformatted the whole thing, and transfer the file that needed to be transfer on to the ZEN. I took out the Zen from the computer and to my suprise it didn't automatically shutdown!! So I left it on the USB to charge hoping for the best and BAM! My Zen is revived!

Great! Good to hear. filipmike33. As long as you allow time for drying and don't try to boot up, the Zen seems to do well with being sent through the wash.
