Video audio sync issues

I noticed that the Pilot often seems to have problems with the audio sync on Videos. Does anyone know how to prevent this or improve the situation.

I have noticed that videos I convert from google video for instance are often out of sync. Also I converted a DVD movie to play on the Pilot. Now when you play from the start it seems to be in perfect sync but if you pause it that is when I noticed it started to go out of sync which is making me wondering if it's a problem with pausing in which case I guess that can't be fixed.

I tend to use the media converter software and use windows media format.

So any comments on how to improve the situation?
