Default ZEN V plus driver
Hi
I had a Zen V plus, but I lost its driver CD => XP2 cant regconize it (only big yellow question mark in Device Manager) , could you share that driver file (not firmware file) with me
I've search on NET, but it's so harf for me to find that driver file

from what i have read you do not need a driver if u have xp.You just need the service packs installed.

If those are installed and it still isn't working then go to the Creative Zen V Plus entry in your Device Manager and remove it. Unplug your player, wait a few seconds, then plug it back in again. Windows should detect it and re-install the drivers

tks for your post. however I've used OS window xp SP2. But OS cant find it driver. Last time I had to setup driver file from it CD driver => it works. Now that CD "went away" that Mp3 doesnt. hix

Have you tried to just go into the device manager and completely uninstall the device marked with that big yellow question mark? Then unplug the player, reboot, and when XP is fully up and running, plug it in again.

As someone else said, XP shouldn't need a driver to recognize your player.

Have you tried installing WMP11? It comes with a MTP driver which should work with the Zen V Plus.

Yeah, if you use the native (aka service pack ) drivers, the transfers are really slow, besides i dont like how WMP organizes the music and stuff, the creative software works better.
So, i think you have two options:
-go to the creative site and get:

Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 5.10.38http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/download2.asp?MainCategory=213&Product=15306&dlcen tric=9834&Product_Name=ZEN+V+Plus&filetype=3&OSNam e=Windows+XP

and then

Creative PlaysForSure Devices Plugin 5.00.36 for Creative MediaSource 5 Player/Organizer

basically install Media Source, then install the plugin. once done plug your player in and open media source

-option 2.... if that doesnt work.... let me know, i can copy my Driver CD for you. i can create a torrent and you can get it from me

im uploading it right now, links will be up tomorrow, please be patient; i have a huge physics test.

PS: since rapidshare has a limit of 100mb files, i had to split the iso into 7 parts, its going to take you a bit to download them all

OK, i needed a break from studying... so i finished uploading.

So here is how it works: there are 7 files, 6 of them are the actual pieces and the 7th one is the program that will join the pieces together.

Once you download all 7, you will notice that one is a '.exe", and the others are ".1" , ".2" and so on.

double click the EXE one, tell it where the paiece files are and where to place the joined file.

the joined file is called "ZEN_V_PLUS_CD.iso". i dont know if you know what to do with ISO files, but the easiest way is to burn them to CD

google for a program called "isoburn" its free, once you install it, put a blank CD on the drive, and burn it.

putting together files does not work for me, .exe program can not find the files even though I have them downloaded
