Ok, I formatted my View becuase I was having some problems with some music showing up on it, since then when I turn it on, it sits at the Sandisc Sansa screen and does nothing the blue ring also stays on. I left it on all night last night hoping that it needed to do something (?) but after sitting for 8 hours I checked it.. same screen. Does anyone have any ideas of do I need to send it to Sandisc for some waranty work? I have the latest firmwear too.
I have also have tried the Recovery route with holding the home button and plugging it in while on hold.. and copying the firmware into the 16mb drive and restarting the device, still nothing.

Sounds like you need to reinstall the bootloader that is with the firmware zip file from Sandisk. You put that in to recover mode too.

Ok, so I fixed it completely by accident. Thank you for your prompt replies though. What I did, which I later found out is a normal thing to do, was I put hold on, held << and plugged it in. It said, "Erasing... Done" then restarted and booted up. So now, for a total of 21.76 from ebay, I have a fully working 8gb view in good cosmetic condition, and I just ordered another with the same problem.

Sounds great. I wonder why doing the MSC mode trick does that. Unless you do not have MTP drivers in your OS.
