Speakers for View

I have a pair of Icetunes speakers that I had for the sansa E260, that worked fairly well with it. I bought a cable to plug my view into it and it works but the sound is tinny through the cable. I was playing with the speakers today and found the area where it docks has a insert to hold the E 260 in place. By removing the insert I was able to slide the View onto the cable interface. Unfortunately i get no sound from the paired speaker and View. It does show that it is charging but no sound. Any suggestions?
