Is it that Bluetooth on Spinn is only for connecting a Headset to it?
![]() That might be the main purpose, but I'm disappointed that I may not be able transfer my files (music) to Spinn from my computer!! Is this true? |

Actually it is only used for connecting headphones to the Spinn. Transfering data via bluetooth is damn stupid since it takes like forever. Just plug in the cable and you are done...

Only for headphones, and my SPINN's bluetooth has problems. It needs a firmware update.

The 1.50 firmware seems to have improved Bluetooth reliability, but the SPINN still fails to see bluetooth speakers. This is a serious weakness as I see it.

Maybe the Bluetooth chip does not support speaker protocol.

I don't suppose anyone knows what bluetooth chip was used? Broadcom makes several, and they probably used one that did FM and Bluetooth. Knowing which one would help predict if better bluetooth was even possible. For what it's worth, the Cowon S9 has the same trouble seeing speakers.

There is no such thing as a speaker protocol. Bluetooth stereo headphones and speakers use the exact same profiles...A2DP & AVRCP. If you are having problems connecting to a particular device, there are various reasons which apply to all hardware and specific ones which suseptible to problems.
