I have an E436 (wife's) and an A728. For the 436 I can get Amazon movies on demand and they copy right over to it using Unbox, and it works great. But where am I supposed to get movies for the 728 which does not support WMV and DRMed MP4? Since neither amazon or itunes movies can be played on it, I guess I don't have any options for watching feature movies on it outside of finding torrents (questionable), or paying a fair chunk of money for a DVD ripper and converter app and ripping rented DVDs (illegal). What do you guys do?

I use a free converter from download.com to convert the files to PSP format which is MPEG4, the format used by the player.

Yeah, pspvideo is a pretty decent tool to convert videos to MP4. I use it for my psp but there are ample of options to change the video size so the converted file is best for your sony walkman.

'Handbrake' also works well -- use it in conjunction with DVD43 to rip *your own* DVDs to a format that works with the player (you may need to fiddle with the settings to get it to play).
I agree, though, that there should be an easier way. If only the Zune was released in Australia... haha...nah, I <3 my Walkman (y) |

Download Fee Zune Video Converter and use these settings:
The RIGHT setting is "MP4-MPEG4/AAC-3_Normal Q. Video 500kbps/Audio 128kbps - 320X240". I tested it this morn, works fine. You can adjust the audio and video bitrate to up or downsize the file for the quality you prefer. It's set to 25fps for video & 128kbps for audio. 30 would be optimal for video and the audio is up to you. http://www.pazera-software.com/produ...deo-converter/
