Default Playing View through Car Stereo

I just got a view. It has the updated firmware. When I plug it into my car stereo's USB port, nothing happens. I have the USB mode on auto detect and have renamed my music folder. Any other suggestions?
It also will not play videos that I converted using sansa's media converter. Any help with that?
I'm starting to wish I bought and ipod.
Thanks

Have you tried putting you songs onto the Sansa via MSC mode?

Are you using the latest version of the Sansa Media Converter?

Edit: What kind of radio is it, too?

It is a JVC radio. I have played mp3 players in it before.
I don't know how to put songs on in MSC mode. I just sync the player using windows media player. The view is set in auto detect mode if that matters.
Thanks for your help.

A model of the JVC radio will help the most. One reason is there is some radios that will not see MTP devices. You might not see your songs on the player because if you load them via MTP mode. Most operating systems use MTP in Auto detect mode.

You can just drag and drop your song to the Sansa's music folder.

Do you have DRM music? DRM music is music that you bought. DRM music will not work in MSC mode. DRM music works in MTP mode. Like I said before, there is only a few radios that read MTP mode.

Thanks for all of your help. It is a JVC KD-AR770. Loading the songs onto the View in MSC mode works, however, some of my music that is in Windows Media Player is not in the "My Music" folder on my computer. How can I get it over there? Thanks again
Hal

Do you know if they have DRM? They might have DRM and will not transfer. You can try right clicking on the song then Properties, I think. I do not use Windows Media Player that is why I think.

I looked at your radio specs, and I was right. It will only work with the View in MSC mode. The radio will not work with things in MTP mode or DRM music.
