Something is wrong on your end, not the software end. Boot your computer in Safe Mode and check out everything that is running (MSConfig and Services.MSC.) Make sure everything is up to par and then install upon roboot.

Always check for trojans and malware before installing any product. If you picked it up from anywhere other than Sandisk or a trusted website, it's the best bet for you to do a free scan.
