E Series or S Series?

I need a fast reply to this one.

E436 - 79.99 + tax (<--- have gift card so its 40.00 technically)

S636 - 119.99 + tax (<----- no gift card D

which one should i get?

i found the only difference is noise cancellation and sense me .

what do you guys think?

The E series is budget, the S series is premium. Go w/the S series. There are too many complaints about the E series, and the SQ is that much better w/the S.

a mp3.. that can do the basics

music (playlist, easy search)
video (good screen quality)
photos (jsut something i need)
fm radio ( toronto has about 8 + radio stations but 6 i listen too)
and a simple good sound quality. (not a big fan with high quality headphones)

and i jsut need

long battery life. (what i really look for in a mp3)

You're kidding right!?......you answered your own question! What were you expecting from us....a loan?

My suggestion is to shop around on the internet. Also, some brick and mortar stores are actually doing a little negotiation just to knock down inventories. See if you can get it for $110.

My next question is with your criteria, does it have to be a Sony? Why just these two units?

Here's another suggestion but it's a long shot. Google "gift card exchange" There companies that exchange gift cards between stores. If someone has a gift card from the store you want to buy the S from that they don't want for the same amount and want yours, they swap them out for you. The S series is worth the extra money but the E series will do if that is all you can get.

Not sure what this sentence means.

As per www.sonystyle.ca, the E436 comes with "MDRE804LP Headphones". The S636 with "MDREX082 (105cm) Headphones". As I understand it, the EX082 headphones are the good ones, but I haven't tried either.

Also, the S736 comes with Noise cancellation not the S636. It's built into the "MDRNC020 (105cm) Headphones".

I bought the Sony E438 after christmas but it didn't give enough of a kick even when it the volume was all the way up because it didn't have a bass boost option and the equalizer didn't help much so I returned it and kept my Creative ZEN 2GB pmp, also I was using the JVC marshmellon in ear earphones which are pretty good.
