What happens if you do a lsusb now with it in manufacturer mode?

If you want more help, you might want to get on Rockbox IRC. Someone there might have ran into this issue.

hmm i dont know if i can get into the manufacturer mode but when I try it and do lsusb there is written "Bus 001 Device 017: ID 0b70:0003 PortalPlayer, Inc." but I wrote that already some posts before xD The Problem that i cant turn it on is the i2c I think. So it happend: I tried to install a Firmware that unlocks the radio. After installing the Firmware i turned on the Sansa but then a yellow screen came and nothing happend. I didnt knew what i should do but then i found this i2c shit and thought that this could help. but I thought wrong -.- I put the i2c file on the sansa he read&wrote it and then I tried to turn it on again but there was just a black screen and the blue wheel Is the channelname #rockbox in qnet?

Well I am confused.
I have a refurb e260, to replace my two e200+ and the Zune that were stolen last week. It was working fine. Then I downloaded Rockbox, the basic form, and still all was good. Next I put in a 4 gig sd, making it a 8 gig player. But I never turned it on after that. When I did this morning, I got the blue ring, dead screen. I removed the sd, and tried to get to recovery mode. No dice.
So what next?
1. Do I try to learn how to use e200tool?

2. Do I download that Linux Live CD, which I'll have to do at work, because it is too slow at home?

3. Didn't someone here have no success with either of these approaches and had to open the back, remove the daughter board and put it back in?

I am open to ideas and suggestions. I need some better karma to come my way...
Lyndon

Alright, the second time I removed the back, and the second set of four screws, I could not separate the sliver back from the front. But I gently pushed that rubber rectangle back and around for a minute, and then presto, up it came. Now I am wondering about putting the 4 gig sd card in. Would that have had any reason for the daughter board or is it just physically coming loose?
I have another sd 2 gig card.

Now, I can clean the garage and shed with some music. Yes!!!!!
And I don't understand that when I plug it into my XP Pro computer, it says it is writing. Writing what? I don't have my WMP on nor set for auto synch. Does writing also mean charging?

1) There is a list of commands in the e200tool.
2) Yes, the e200tool works the best in a Linux LiveCD.
3) I have heard a few people have good luck with reseating the daughter board.

Edit: Sounds great that you got it working.

Thanks for the quick response, advcomp2019
I appreciate it.
It is just fantastic weather today in the western Rocky Mountains. Going to take out my recumbent bike and listen to tunes, and then attend an outdoor concert nestled between Univ. of Utah and the mountains for Joan Osborne, and John Hiatt.
Ahhhhhh....
