3rd party Video Converter Info.

Hi All,

After a week or so of trying different video converters OTHER than Sansa Media Converter. And trying to get in touch with some rather poor tech support people, I found ANY DVD Converter. The tech support was great and I never purchased the product. I never got their program to work, but I sent them a file converted by SMC and here is what they found out:

We've checked your attached video sample and found that the video codec is Divx 5 which is not supported by our converter at present. We will report this to our development team for the future improvement.

So perhaps one of these days we will have a fast reliable 3rd party converter. Or make sure that whatever converter you are looking at converts into Divx 5.

wonder why you couldn't just run files through a DIVX 5 converter then?
