P2 vs. P3 What Should I Get?

I was wondering which one to get. I don't know if I should get the P2 now, or wait out on the P3. I'm from the U.S. so I dont know when the P3 is going to be released or any pricing figures. I want to know the release date because if it's too far off, then I'll just get the P2, but if it's close than I thought, I'll get the P3. Thanks for the help.

No way to know. The P2 is 95 % of what the P3 is. If you need Flash support or a built in speaker or text files the device will read to you then you should wait. If neither is important then the P2 is a great value. I think it's on sale at bestbuy right now too.

if you don't care for the p3's gimmicks, then you could probably get a p2 at super cheap prices

I've read a number of reviews that say that the P2 has ghosting problems when watching videos, so beware. Also the P3 has more file format support out of the box.

The video codec support is probably the only reason why I prefer P3 over P2; converting videos isn't really fun.

I'm sticking with my P2. The P3 doesn't offer much more than the P2 anyways.

well if you watch a lot of movies and you are not a fan of video converting
take the p3 cuz it has more video codec support

thats the main point to me

and
1st do you really need flash support?
2nd do you need haptic feedback on a mp3?
3rd do you need a speaker, mono speaker that is?

not just more codec support but NATIVE video support!!! Thats huge!! Any video you download, you'll drag and drop!! Hopefully next, you'll be able to save your playlists as... Also, a better screen responsiveness, theirs going to be WAY more apps, more shortcuts, new features, new player, VIBE woofer which i really kinda like. and better sound enhancement, I don't think it would make much sense to go with the cheaper one unless your strapped for cash.
