Sansa would be wise to market the fuze to flac/lossless/live music lovers like myself. i suggest it to all the traders/collectiors i converse with. everyone loves it but still wants GAPLESS....
talk is that Gapless playback will be available in a subsequent firmware release for the Fuze..not the next one but a release down the road. If I'm not mistaken I think the Clip has Gapless playback?.

Nope....unless you want to put rockbox on it, and I don't think it is 100% ready.

I just bought a Sandisk 8 GB microSD card for my Fuze, got it on sale at Staples. When I got home and took it out of the package, and looked closer at the back information, it says it is Class 2. Is that too slow? Should I return it? That was the only 8 GB microSD card they had (from Sandisk). I can return it if need be, but it's an hour drive to the store...but I can order one from Newegg or Amazon.

Mine is also a class 2, and it's always worked great for me

Cool! Thanks for the quick reply. That will save me a drive back to the store.

Check out Tigerdirect.com they have Class 6 micro cards cheep. I picked up a 4gig class 6 a couple mos. ago for about $14. You can also see every ones ratings & reviews. Sandisk costs more & lower reviews.

Tigerdirect.com has very low prices, fast & accurate shipping, very good site, ....

In Canada, the shipping for a memory card can be more than the price of the card. Don't know about US shipping.

The Class rating on flash cards is a minimum number, not a cap. So a Class 2 card is guaranteed to never drop below a 2MB/second write speed. Manufacturers tend to err on the side of caution, so the actual speed is often higher. And of course, reading from a card, which is what the Fuze will do with it, is always way faster than writing to it.

DealExtreme is like a web dollar store for geeks. Online gadget heaven!

I get Nintendo DS accessories from them, and their screwdriver set was surprisingly good.

I got these screwdrivers. At that price, you just can't beat it, and now I can finally replace the cooling paste in my laptop!
