Real support for CDs on the Zune. In the software you can set the CD number so that it's;

(CD 1)
Track 1
Track 2
Track 3
(CD 2)
Track 1
Track 2
etc.

But on the Zune it's;

Track 1
Track 1
Track 2
Track 2
Track 3
Track 3
etc.

It would be nice for the CDs to be in order on the Zune when a certain album has more than 1 disc to it.

Why not just put "Album Title - Disc 1" and "Album Title - Disc 2" and so on? That's what I do...

or, if each disc has 10 tracks, the first track of the second disc could be track 11...that will also solve your problem

how is it a bug? The Zune just isn't setup to use the disc# tag for sorting...it's not the only player that doesnt use it and there's an easy work around. Sounds like some one has sour grapes...

it is because the Zune Team knows and accept it as a BUG.

Yep, they've known about this bug for 2 yrs or so since the 2.0 software/firmware was released. I hope they fix it for this next update.

I don't consider it a bug. A bug is something in the design that does not work as specified. To me, it's just an oversight. They don't obviously don't account for that field in the ID3 tags within the player itself. Either way, I see it as an easy fix. Either put Disc 1 and Disc 2 after the titles, or number from 1-20 instead of 1-10 and 1-10. I have done both for various albums that I have and it accomplishes the same task without having to wait for the Zune team to do anything different. But I guess it's much more productive to complain about it and hope it changes.

Some people(like me) find it annoying when the album is split into two by the ID3 tags. If you browse by album then select a song that you want but it isn't on that disc, you have to go back to the next album and find the song there.

Also it doesn't look very attractive to have a "_____ - Disc 1" in the title.

ok so number from 1-20 instead of 1-10 and 1-10, or whatever.

I used to do that. But I like my files exactly like the tracks on a CD.

it is a bug. if the software can read the tags fine, why the device can't do it ?
it is a bug. Period.

do you know how many ID3 tag fields there are? The device doesn't utilize all of them. NO DEVICE UTILIZES ALL OF THEM. You have no idea what you're talking about.

ID3 v2.4 tags can store:

Most software can read/write to all of them. Tell me how many players can read all of them. Huh? Tell me how many...exactly. The player itself isn't designed to utilize the album number field. Simple as that. It's not a bug, it was a design choice

You ignored my entire post and pulled out one sentence. What players do you know that read all those fields? Huh? Which ones? NONE!!! Just because they exist, doesn't mean they are utilized. My Sansa doesnt do a goddamn thing with the album number field either. And it hasn't through numerous firmware updates. It's obvious they chose to not use that field or else it would have been fixed by now. Why is this any different. I guarantee that 75% or more of people, even those who keep their tags pretty neat and orderly, STILL don't use that field.

How is not supporting multiple CD's a bug?

Like sumx4182 said, it still sounds the same. It's just a cosmetic issue.

I have a couple of multiple-CD albums and I just add the tracks from the second CD onto the end of the first. Looks ugly and it's irritating, but we'll have to live with it for now. The Zune team has much bigger things to fix.

It's not a bug but if the Zune team is looking at it then it is classified as a problem. If it will get changed or not I don't know, but let's stay on topic.
