I was listening to my Zen V and when I got up one side of my earbudsw died HELP!

Did you try a different set to see if it's the player or the buds? If it's the buds (which it probably is) thats easy
Buy new buds.

If you can order online, go for the SoundMagic listed in the thread provided above. If you can't, goto radioshack and get KSC75 for like 5 bucks.
If it's your player, idk... get a sansa clip for 42 bucks at wal-mart?

Going in the other direction..... if other headphones do the same, does moving around the connection or the headphone jack cause any changes in the audio?

First theyre like I-gummi and second its not the mp3player it the buds and also I think it was static that went through them soo if anyone can take it from there...

I doubt it was static electricity, but I guess it could be. Headphones are pretty resilient to static electricity. Then again, when you buy and use poor quality, cheap headphones, it could be anything.
