Hello. I registered here to ask this question and hopefully get an answer that will help. On startup, nothing happens on the screen but the blue ring lights up. The problem started yesterday. I turned it on and the startup screen appeared, but froze there. I turned it off and back on again, and from then on it has only been black. I read the tech support FAQs on the SanDisk site but the steps suggested for this exact problem (listed on the site) are not doing anything. It says to reset, hold the power switch up for 20 seconds... and nothing happens. The next step is to switch it to hold mode on the power switch and hold the home button when plugging it into the computer and a 16MB Format folder/removable disk is supposed to appear; this does not happen.
