Hi, I recently bought a new computer with windows vista, and reading the instructions on the box i then installed the creative software in the same way as with my last computer. When asked if i wanted to register my product online i selected 'remind me to register in 2 weeks', as i didn't have internet set up yet. A couple of days ago a message popped up saying 'gentle reminder: register your creative products to enjoy a host of benefits'. Immediately after registering the message popped up again, and continues to pop up after I tell it i dont want to register my product. I have now discovered that I shouldn't have installed the creative software so have uninstalled everything, but the product registration message still pops up about 3 seconds after i have clicked ok on the last one.
Would be very grateful of any help as this message is very irritating. |

all this means is that the entry for "creative registration" thingy still in the start up list.
make sure vista has downloaded and installed all the available patcher download "tweakUAC" , run it, set it to "silent mode" (the middle option) click on Start -> run type: msconfig a window will pop up with a lot of confusing stuff, click on the last tab, the one that says "startup" now you need to do some detective work, find a entry called "InetReg.exe", the icon looks like a a sheet of line paper with a pencil across, uncheck that you are done!! |
