Change Bit Rate on Recording?

I would like to know if you can change the bit rate on the line in recoring feature on the Creative Zen V Plus?

At the moment I use mine regularly, but the bit rate is stuck on 128 kbs... Can this be increased?

Hello. From the ABI Zen V review:

Creative has added a line-in feature for direct encoding from any audio source in either 128 or 160kbps MP3.

Thanks mate - I see that, but can't find a way to change it from the default 128 upto the 160... Any ideas?

If I can remember correctly, press and hold the back button until the menu appears to set the option.

BobbyRS is correct, you just hold the back button down for a couple of seconds and you have the option of changing the bit rate.


Although, my Zen only records in the WMA format. Anyone know if I can switch this to MP3?
