You're right, dfkt. I think I'm going to go back to the 1.27 firmware.

Will they ever introduce a firmware that helps the US players? I wish I could delete that Manga viewer. I doubt I'll every use it.

My x264 encoded material still is delayed. I have to use JetAudio to convert it. Figure it out, that the recoded movie is larger than the original source (original has better resolution!).

try giving SUPER a try for converting your files, should give you a ton of options to play with ITS FREE, and the only thing it doesnt do is external subtitles

I wouldn't say worthless. The screen controls are MUCH more responsive. I have noticed a huge update to this. This is worth updating, and losing the Pan & Scan feature retention between files is no big deal.

Other than this, I don't notice any other improvement in F/W v1.31 though.

I agree, as the O2 could have been a serious killer player. Still, It's great for the price, and Enzo is selling his at a serious cut rate. I'd have bought it if I had seen his reposting in time (got a sweet deal on the Sony S639 thanks to MattMc3 in the classifieds).

I've been running 1.35 for a week or so (yes, it wasn't even worth posting about it here on ABI). They improved some stuff but broke other stuff that was working... always one step forward, two steps back with those damn O2 firmwares. i know it did not release with it but did any firmware add it to the O2?
