Sansa View Screen will not turn on

Sansa View Screen will not turn on, customer service was a bust. They told me to throw it away. Computer does not reconize View and resets have not had any affect. Any suggestions?

Your EOL (End of Life) options for your view are to hack and replace the battery with something similar or put it up for sale either in pieces or as a whole.

Thank you for the reply. Must say I am not happy EOL was 14 months for the View! Customer Service was awful! No offer to help. Perhaps a discount on a new or refurb'd unit. NOTHING!
Would you mind explaining Hack/Battery replacement with something similar?

1. open it up.
2. remove dead battery.
3. put in another (even if it is not listed as compatible, it just has to be small enough to fit in there after closing it up).
