Replacement of display

Hello,

the display of my T10 is broken and samsung avoid the guarantee. Now i would like to replace the display of the player. I did found some offers of displays in ebay from hongkong.
Did someone ever tried to replace the display and let me know how difficult it is?

I can let you know in a couple weeks but it doesn't seem too difficult. I'll let you know when my screen comes in the mail.

Where did you bought the display, could you please post the link to the ebay auction or the shop

It is very difficult. I would only attempt this if I were a professional.

Yes i know, until now i didn't tried to open the T10 on the other hand, i would try it if i could find a display. In the past i worked as TV-service man ;-).

The ebay source in hongkong isn't able to deliver the display. Did you find a source for a display?

bought a broken t10 from ebay. Just make sure the screen is working.

but i will find one maybe a new replacement from china and try to replace, meanwhile i bought scandisk player.
Because i couldn't change the songs on my broken T10 and i really annoying to hear always the same songs ;-(

so the "window" of the frontcover is also broken? not "just" the display itself?

if it's just the display you don't have to be worried, if the window is also broken, then.... well, then you're right, a used scratched player isn't the perfect choice....

edit: you could politely ask tvs-süd for a replacement display (or a cost estimate for complete repair?), it's the authorized service center in germany for samsung players

You are right only the display is broken, the service from saturn said that it was broken, because i used the T10 on very cold day in january for jogging, i'm not sure, maybe it broked in my pocket, anyway i don't want to spend much money for a display.
