Ok. That's not at all a deal breaker for me, but what exactly is the "flash player" for?

not having direct FLV play is a bit of a bummer, even my cheap Chinese no brand player can play youTube with no conversion, so maybe samsung can do it they just dont want to for whatever reason

Well the box was stickered with 'Plays iPlayer' - it would probably be a conflict of interests if they had 'Plays You Tube'. Still, conversion isn't a problem.

I myself am a devoted zune 120 owner and like the fact that microsoft has been able to incorporate format support through firmware updates. Do you think that Samsung could do the same?

Yes-the 2.07 firmware update enabled the P3 to play mp4 natively- Samsung are quite good with their updates.

Quick question, again.
In itunes I have this option to volume adjust each trace/album (Get info--->Options--->Volume Adjustment). Does MediaMonkey or Windows Media Player 11 have such an option available, so I can enhance the volume of each track before I transfer it to my P3? Thank you!

I'm not sure about MediaMonkey or Windows Media Player 11, but Emodio, the program that comes with the P3, has the option you're asking about.
