I miss a play/pause button. The P2 could start playing music where you left it with a simple button press once it booted up.

But when I try to play it, here's what it says: "Not supported format" Video bitrate (0kbps), Video framerate (0fps)." This is obviously incorrect, because the original file on the computer definitely has both of these data. Before, I converted the original file into an svi file with Emodio, but I didn't want to use the svi as my main source for watching the Dark Knight on my P3, because it converted my original 700mb file into a 1.3 GB file for some reason. So how am I supposed to drag and drop my wmv files into the P3? I know the P3 definitely accepts wmv files, because Sheep in the Island 2 and the P3_Demo videos are both wmv files...
Can anyone answer my question?

You may have to reduce the framerate- I'm not sure.

How about just converting to divx/xvid?
IS the video wmv 8 or 9?
heres a wmv that works for me:

640 x 480
Microsoft Windows Media 9
25 frames per second
bit rate: 984kbps

Audio:
WMA Version 8

Bitrate 64 kbps

Stereo
44100 Hz

I have a wmv with a similar profile, but using 720x576 that doesn't work.

My P3 so far alway returns to the app I shut it off in. Is there any way to tell it to NOT resume where left off and instead start on the home menu?

No- you have to exit from the home menu for it to start from there. Losing auto-resume would piss people off more.

Alas, the P2 lets you set your choice in the settings menu. I'm starting to understand why my 8gb P3 was less than 8gb P2s are selling for.

A few things weren't addressed by 2.14, but presently I'm more than happy with my P3...

Uhn... was "Wise Volume" in the Sound settings before 2.14? If not, it looks like they've added volume normalization.

It was there in 2.10 at least, because that's what I was running until upgrading to 2.14 earlier today.

Absolutely..its got some good touch improvement.. though pseudo cover flow still sucks... I seldom use it, playlists are the way to go for me..
