you can move the icons and widgets round as much as you like. you can change the icons by downloading different themes.

yes, you can set your own images a backgrounds whilts using the 3 built in themes from samsung, if using custom themes you can not set your own backs - so you can get rid of the balls in several ways

You can put whatever you want on the P3- get rid of icons, backgrounds, and by using an uci disable all widgets. You can put on your own pics as wallpaper. I chose the Rennaisance theme you saw me post the other day because it's so Un-Samsung like.

Here. http://alexzakl-4.narod.ru/uci_p3.htm

You unzip them then drag the file to My Pack-Themes on your P3

A question.. how do I get my calendar on.. is the P3 capable of events and reminders and such or is it just a display only calendar?

I'm not entirely sure.. I mean I can get it to display the months and flick through them, but I'm not sure about PIM functions; I haven't used the alarm function. I know that contacts can be bluetoothed to the P3 and memos etc.
Interestingly the last 2 UCIs, including the one I posted above, have a movable picture widget thingy- first time I've seen widgets in custom themes.

Yea, the useless calendar is a holdover from the P2, and one of the things that was constantly requested for improvement.

If its just annoying you as you browse through menus you could always just turn the transparency off. mines turned down to one but i like that to just plain back. you could also switch to the theme with the metalic look.

the user manual mentions that if you've got a calendar file(*.ics) with schedules then the schedule is display only.. no such luck.. downloaded my calendar from google calendar and tried to place it in MyPack\Calendar.. nothing came up..

you need to export your calendar events individually so you have one ics file per event. Also Calendars like Windows Calendar have to be modified in the the Start and finish areas.

I got Mozilla Sunbird events to work without modification to the ics file.

Hope this helps

Hi Paul, so you're saying if I have like 40-50 events in a calendar, then I should have 40-50 event ics's in my Calendar directory for the schedule feature to work?

So far, this is the only method that I have managed to get working.

I highlight one event in the calendar and then select export. Save the export ics file to the P3.

With ics files from the windows calendar application, I had to modify the start and end dates within the ICS file!

I'm currently developing an application which I hope will improve this method.

Paul
