Maybe I'm missing something... but couldn't you have just typed the few sentences and put the Megaupload links here - without the video?

Hey JustinGenes, since you seem to like going to great lengths to help us install Rockbox on the Fuze, mind compiling from the latest SVN so we can safely use it on our 8GB versions?

Hi! I have a Fuze v1 8GB and I want Rockbox on it but I saw nothing about a good version of Rockbox Firmware on the official website. So, does anyone tried to Rocbox his Fuze? Does it really work?

Wow...that was a close one. I had no idea Rockbox at one point could brick 8GB players.

Luckily, he used the latest SVN.

You sure? The file I downloaded from JustinGenes' link was compiled from SVN r21005 (from 5-21-2009), which predates yesterday's fix for 8GB Fuzes (r21096).

Bricking an 8GB Fuze with older revisions is not a guaranteed thing, just a risk when writing to it (beyond the 4GB mark, I believe...though I could be wrong about that part).

You can always get the newest official Rockbox builds from here: http://build.rockbox.org/dist/build-fuze/rockbox.zip

This is just so people use the official builds instead of unverified 3rd party builds.

So will it work on a Ver 1 8 gb Fuze?Do you have to revert to previous firmware first?If so where can you get that?
