Default where can I find one man
Ok I live in the houston area(around baytown if any of u guys know houston) where can I find one at a local retailer i heard that they were at a frys in austin and there is no way im going all the way over there just to get it lol, any ideas would they be, in the stores like best buy ive only been checkin online(been busy this summer with band stuff and vacations)? any info would be helpful and i don't wanta buy it online because well i don't trust those sites thanks!!

The problem with Frys is that they have two MP3 player sections, one of which no one in the store knows about. If you ask for the MP3 players, they'll direct you to the ipod section (which also contains zunes and creatives). If you ask where the other brands are (i.e. the ones from companies without the huge marketing budgets), they'll just stare at you blankly.

You'll have to go there, probably. But you want the section with high quality in ear buds and headphones. There are a bunch of mp3 players in this section, and if you're lucky you'll find a Samsung. But don't ask. It's as if this section doesn't exist and you won't be able to get anyone to acknowledge it does.

It's the "Home Audio" or something like that section.

Yea I know... its the section where they sell home entertainment sections, and the better headphones.

The people at the Fry's here knew where they were, I asked the guy in the iPod section and he said all the Samsung and non-Zen, non-Zunes were in the home entertainment section or something like that. I found them easily after that, there was a kiosk with the P2 and some other players, I just had to look around there.

That whole store for the most part is a giant "lolwut"
The one here has a piano... and they hire people to play it and they have it rigged to the entire stores speaker system... and the entrance is giant piano...

hey the only frys in houston that i know of is in sugarland and im going to california tomorrow so idk when im goin to be able to get it

They have a guy that plays piano! That's awesome! While the set-up from what Triarii described sounds rather unintuitive, I gess they get an A for effort and somewhere at about a C+ for logical product placement. At least they haven't hidden them in behind the samsung TV displays.

Ha ha ha, na I'm in Canada, we don't even have them. Here all us independants fight the good fight against Steve Jobs and Bill Gates and their respective MP3 lines. Meanwhile Sandisk has slowly been claiming some market share as well, but not enough to warrant learning their leader's name :P
