A WOW to the "SenseMe"

maybe you could describe it a bit? i never used it, what are the advantages?

SensMe is great. Out of 2000 tracks maybe 10 or so have gone in the wrong channel. It's like flicking radio stations going up and down the channels.
There is Daytime which turns into Evening then Midnight. Energetic, Relax, Upbeat, Pop Ballad, Lounge, Accoustic, Electronic, Classical and Extreme.
Extreme seems to contain a lot of my live Oasis tracks, the Pixies, the Pogues etc.
I like automated playlists, and it's surprisingly accurate and a change from my normal folder browsing.

senseme is probably the best function walkman has received lately beside the bluetooth function addition with NW(Z)-A820 series. it's practical, simple and accurate. i like it much better on walkman rather on se walkman phone. it's being overlooked, what a pity, S630/730 is such a slim product too with great SQ that rivals against other digital walkman anyday, and it really reinforces walkman's power on pure music enjoyment.

Overall, it's reasonably accurate but there are also many jarring misses. Is there any way to de-list or remove the songs that don't fit from a certain category?

For example, my extreme list has a few slow, acoustic ballads that kill the vibe!

No, there's no way of manually adjusting it. Once it's decided, that's it. There are a few misses but it's a feature I like - I'll even wait until Midnight to hear that channel.

Just create the SenseMe playlist w/the free Sony Media Go software, then remove the tracks that don't fit and transfer it to the player. I use it that way myself, and I don't even have a Sony dap ATM.
