Default S639 /questions before buy

hi (I'm german),

i want to buy the 16Gig S639 from Sony but have some questions.
- How long is the boot time?
- when I shutdown the player, and power it on again, will the last track played further?
- is there an manual equalizer?
- are normal divx avi playable without convert?

It's instant-on, the music just plays. You can power it off, but it's not like any other brand in that it's always 'instant-on', or always on standby so there is never a delay. Battery life doesn't appear to suffer for this - I don't know how they do it.

Yes, it plays the last track and, yes, you can adjust the equaliser manually.

I'm not sure about the video codes - you may have to convert.

For video, you can put h.264 videos at 320x240. divx is not supported.

The player only takes a few seconds to start.

No, it starts on the "Home" screen.
- is there an manual equalizer?
Yes, it has a "custom" EQ.

No, you need to convert videos on ANY Sony DAP.
Hope that helps.
