Default Supported file formats and not compatible?

I wanted to download a book from and now that I have joined them they say they do not support the Walkman NWZ-E438F or any Walkman for that matter.

What exactly are the type of formats that I should look for to download to the Walkman?

Audible uses their own format, .aa (audible audio), with copy protection. Sony rarely plays nice with anyone so no surprise it doesnt do audible. You could try some of the services that offer audio books in other formats, check this article for links:

Default Not playing nice

Thanks for the info - it would have been great if the fact that they do not support Sony would have come up earlier.

I don't recall them asking what type of device I was using when I was signing up for the account.

@prstlk: For my audiobooks I stick with standard MP3's. Check you local library to see if they have access to downloadable audiobooks from services such as OverDrive or NetLibrary. Or you can always check out a book on CD, rip it, listen to it, delete it, then return the CD.
