hi im new to the insignia ns dv, i dont have anstructions or anythng to it because my cousin gave it to me after i lost my ipod video. im askin if anyone could please give me a link or a file for the firmware update and explain how to do it in very simple words please. im using a windows xp and i have the nsdv2g

It's easy. Here's the latest firmware (1.930): http://abi.s3.amazonaws.com/FirmwareUpdater.exe

Download it, run the program and follow the instructions.

Tried to follow the simple instructions for the latest firmware and went to http://abi.s3.amazonaws.com/FirmwareUpdater.exe. All that kept poping up was TODO:<File description> has stopped working.Tried to run it straight and even save it to my desktop, but got the same results. Is this address still good or did I get something wrong.

The file at that link downloads fine for me, so I'm not sure what the issue is for you...

why isnt it recognizing my NS-DV2G... a screen comes telling me to reconnect the player and i do and nothing happens.
