scrolling on the Fuze

I just got a refurbed Fuze last week , and was wondering if the scroll wheel is supposed to be like the one on my clip where if you hold down the top or bottom of the scroll wheel it goes through songs faster

my fuze does not do this so i wondering if it was defective ?

Try holding down on the Left or Right side of the wheel.

Nope, it's not like the Clip wheel. But if your firmware is current, the more you spin the wheel, scrolling through a list, the faster it goes.

I wish that scrolling to the top of the list then keep scrolling would scroll to the way bottom of the list. would make it easier to listen to the ending songs.

The latest firmware allows that, scrolling up past the top of the list to the bottom and vice versa.

I'm rather weary about firmware upgrades, specially since I'm running a server OS and might run into an issue and I don't want to brick my player.

There should be no reason to worry if you install the firmware updates manually. Just don't use the "Sansa Firmware Updater"
