Only thing thats keeping me from buying it instead of the 8gb zune is im not sure if it's a v1 or v2.

Given the price difference, and the microsdhc slot,and available MSC mode, it's a no-brainer....get the Fuze either way, V1 or V2. For the same price as the Zune in your other link you could add at least 8GB more memory.

Do you want to hear the strangest thing?? When I got the e-mail from Newegg yesterday morning for the specials the 8gb Fuze (refurbished) was listed for $39.99. I hopped right over there and ordered one. A couple hours later I realized I should have ordered two at that price. I went back into my email from them, and it was listed as $49.99!?! How did they do that??
I decided to not go for another at that price, though it is probably a great price, money is kinda tight here. But I could sure kick myself for not buying two at $39.99!
Can't wait to get it!!

Same here, got mine early yesterday AM at $39 and then was baffled later that morning to see the $49 price listed!!

In fact I was about to post a link to the ad here when I discovered the 'update' and then decided not to post due to the price change...

Got my Sansa yesterday in the mail. Looks good, no scratches on the front at all. There are a couple very small, what I would call scruff marks on the back. Almost like someone had something sticky on there and peeled it off?
I checked the info after updating- V01.02.26A.

I got this e-mail for this deal at 2am($39) and thought to my self "I'll buy this in the morning," then went to bed. When I woke I saw that it had risen to $49 and was angered at the rapid price change. So I got on a live chat with them and inquired. After a little talk I was credited for $10 after my package shipped. Got my fuze today. On the back of the casing, the words "REFURB," are carved in.

$50 for a refurb? Isn't a new 8 gig around $68 now? I usually avoid refurbs unless it is half or less than half of the lowest new price I can find. Refurb one gig Clips for $10 each were a great deal. A refurb 8 gig Fuze for $50 doesn't seem like a great bargain to me.
