Zen V won't Dock. :(

Hi, I've lurked all the threads that seemed like they might have the same problem as I do but I couldn't find anything, or a solution that worked. My Creative Zen V has been working for a good amount of years now but recently it just stopped docking. It will connect and charge but it won't dock. I've tried different cables to no avail. I also tried connecting in recovery mode and I thought I was finally making progress. Notifications popped up on windows saying the device might not work properly, and shortly after said that everything was installed correctly and would work. Well it still charges but it wont dock so I cant put any music on. I've done a format on the player and a clean up but neither have proved to be successful. So is there any hope for this player? Or am I screwed?

Update: The computer knows its there but it gives me this error saying

USB Device Not Recognized

I looked through the device manager but the MTP option wasnt there. Is there a way that I can reinstall it?
