u4 freezing and unresponsive

My samsung u4 could not be detected by my computer after playing the songs halfway. i plugged it out and it suddenly froze, with the screensaver repeating itself over and over again.

the player wont respond and it keeps emitting beeps. i cant shut it down and the hold button wont work. the screen just keeps showing the same picture all the time. Help please.....does anyone know how to solve this problem? do i have to wait until the battery runs out?
