Default 3D effect

Hello fellow P3'ers.

Today I experienced the effect of the 3D effect in the Custom DNSe part of the P3. (Yeah, I'm a bit late trying it out)... It's awsome! Notes that were almost impossible to hear, I can hear with it maxed (and one clarity).

Now, I have a question; Since having max 3D effect sort of cuts out the usually louder part of the music in a song, which isn't my cup of tea, is there any way to be able to hear those normally un-hearable notes and tones, while keeping the normal volume and sound of the main part of the music?

If you want/need clarification on what I'm talking about, download this song (don't worry...it's safe...I've downloaded it myself, few years back) and listen to it on the P3, once with max 3D effect and one clarity. Then once with nothing changed to it. (In either order)

I'm not partial to the 3D effect....just seems....artificial sounding, I guess. I'm not sure how else to describe it.

The 3D effect is ok on maybe 1 out of 4 for some tracks - it adds a bit of sound stage, beyond that it's pointless.
It's not as false sounding as Concert Hall - that is just 16 settings of reverb that imo sounds awful.

I don't really like the concert hall, but keeping the 3D on about 1 suits me just fine

Concert Hall just ad's echo.

That is all it does.

I love playing with my own settings on the DNSe and creating new sounds.

I used to just keep everything on club but now I just mess around and play with my own sounds.

Yeah, playing with the EQ is the best. It's so fun

Personally I like to play with Concert Hall and the speed thing when I get bored.

DNSe 3.0 rules!
I have headphones with wildly different sound signatures, and power requirements, yet with DNSe my Q2 allows me to get the right sound out of every 'phone I use.

I know! its very versatile! the one thing I don't like is that concert hall actually sounds pretty cool on about level 1, but it totally removes all bass

I even like the DNSe for video - 'Theatre' is my favourite.

I keep 3d on about 2.
Concert hall is only for when I get bored.

Concert Hall makes Dylan sound like a slowly drowning rat.

True. But on some albums like Nashville Skyline his voice is totally different.

Combine that with a warm-sounding player and warm iems, it's like being wrapped up in cotton wool.
